  Radiesse

What is Radiesse?

Radiesse is a safe, next generation cosmetic dermal filler that’s setting a new standard for the correction of facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds.

Clinical studies prove that RADIESSE lasts longer than the former leading filler to deliver a natural look that lasts. Now FDA approved for treatment of facial wrinkles and folds, and facial lipoatrophy (fat and muscle loss/hollowing) associated with HIV, in addition to maxillofacial augmentation.

How does it work?

Radiesse has unique calcium based microsphere technology that stimulates growth of new collagen. Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres in a gel break down into calcium and phosphate ions and are reabsorbed into the body through a natural metabolic process.

Once injected, Radiesse immediately adds fullness to your face giving you a visible result at the first treatment session.

Do injections of Radiesse hurt?

Radiesse is injected in small amounts using a very fine needle. A local anesthetic is mixed with the Radiesse to help make the injections painless.

Why choose Radiesse?

  • Because Radiesse contains a mineral found in our bodies, there is no need to do allergy testing, it is safe.
  • Immediate visible correction
  • Corrects lines and lifts areas of lost volume
  • Longest lasting filler on the market 6 months to 1 year.

What can I expect to happen at a treatment session?

  • Your provider will answer all of your questions and prepare you for the treatment.
  • The area where the injections will be given will be cleaned with an antiseptic
  • Radiesse will be injected in small amounts into the skin using a very fine needle.
  • An ice pack may be applied to the treatment area before or after treatment to help reduce swelling.

What are the possible side effects of treatment with Radiesse?

The most common side effects are redness, bruising, or swelling.

What can I expect after treatment?

  • Immediately following a treatment you may experience redness, bruising or swelling. These signs usually go away in a short period and are generally mild in nature.
  • For the first 24 hours after treatment, avoid significant movement or massage of the treated area. Do not apply makeup and avoid extensive sun or heat exposure.
  • You may be able to feel the area where Radiesse was injected for some period after injection. Over time, the injected area will feel more and more like your own tissue.
